Igor was invited to Domaine de Boisbuchet in France to give a lecture titled "Designing (w/) Materials" and work with a group of students from Pratt Institute School of Design led by the artist and architect Annie Coggan.

Igor presented his current research on the radical French architect Claude Parent in a public lecture at the Confluence Institute in Paris upon the invitation by the world renowned avant-garde architect and institute director Odile Decq. Titled "Oblique Fragments: in Search of Claude Parent's Praticables" the lecture focuses on Parent's installation works from 1969 and 1975 and their relevance to contemporary architecture and design today.

As Director for Interior Design, Igor is hosting the MacArthur Award-winning contemporary artist Jorge Pardo at The University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture for a lecture and weeklong workshop, a part of a five-year academic initiative with a focus on craft. Read about it in e-flux.

Igor serves as a board member of the Public Interiority, the result of which is a symposium and exhibition at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville taking place on Saturday, February 18. Other board members and program participants include Penny Sparke, Suzie Attiwill, Liz Teston, Amy Campos, Ladi'Sasha Jones, and others. Igor is moderating a session titled "Politics and Programs."

Studio KINC's project Take Our Time: Logs & Sawdust is exhibited at the Tallinn Architecture Biennale as one of the finalists in the Slowbuilding competition. The exhibition is on view through November 20 at the Estonian Museum of Architecture.

Igor is a part of an eight-member jury for the Architect's Newspaper's 8th annual AN Best of Products Awards. Other jury members include architects David Rockwell, Lauren Rottet, and Alison von Glinow. Winners will be published in a special online feature in late September/early October as well as featured in the Best of Design special issue of AN, out in December.

On the occasion of the recent publication of Appropriated Interiors, Igor participated in a virtual book talk featuring the book's editors and contributing authors, including Graeme Brooker, Harriet McKay, Joel Sanders, Alessandra Gola, John Potvin and others. For the book, Igor contributed a chapter titled "Oblique/Interior."

The University of Texas at Austin announced a new cohort of Provost's Authors Fellows. Igor is among 14 scholars from across the university chosen to participate in the program which provides support for tenured associate professors engaged in the development and publication of scholarly books. This fellowship begins in the summer of 2022 and will last 15 months.

Igor was recently appointed Coeditor-in-Chief of the peer-reviewed journal Interiors: Design/Architecture/Culture published by Routledge/Taylor & Francis. The appointment follows five years of service in the capacity of Associate Editor.

Igor wrote the foreword to the just published book Digital Fabrication in Interior Design: Body, Object, Enclosure edited by Jonathon Anderson and Lois Weinthal. The book includes chapters written by Nader Tehrani, Elena Manferdini, Sean Canty, Dana Cupkova, Brandon Clifford, Virginia San Fratello and several other leaders in the field of digital design and fabrication.

Studio KINC (a collaborative architecture group consisting of Igor Siddiqui with Kory Bieg, Nerea Feliz, and Clay Odom), was selected as one of 12 finalists for the Tallinn Architecture Biennale 2022 Installation Competition. This spring, Igor participated in reviews of student work throughout North America, including Master of Architecture option studios at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Master of Architecture thesis reviews at the University of British Columbia School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture, the first-year architecture studio at Washington University in St. Louis Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts, and an advanced studio at the University of Buffalo School of Architecture and Planning.

Igor's interview with the German artist Claudia Wieser is published in Claudia Wieser: Generations (University of Chicago Press, 2021). The publication highlights her first solo exhibition in the United States held at the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts and the Smart Museum of Art. Alongside images of her work, it features essays by curators Rachel Adams and Jennifer Carty and three interviews conducted by Maggie Taft, Igor Siddiqui, and Angelik Vizcarrondo-Laboy.

Texas Architect magazine published an article about 45 Library, a project that he initiated with Andy Campbell, Juliette Cezzar, and Brendan Griffiths, featuring the work of growing group of artists, designers, and architects on the subject of the presidential library. Igor received a Faculty Research Assignment by The University of Texas at Austin to research the work of the French architect Claude Parent. This work is a part of an ongoing book project, initiated n 2016, on oblique interiors. He will spend the spring semester in France, working in the archives of Bibliothèque Kandinsky at the Pompidou Center in Paris, the collections of FRAC Centre in Orléans, as well as completing fieldwork and site visits to Parent's built work.
